The holidays are upon us. Schools are closed, and parents are looking for things to keep their school-going children engaged. The best news is that Nairobi is home to many fun places you can visit with your whole family.

This article will examine the top 4 fun places worth visiting this holiday season. These places feature fun games for kids and robust restaurants serving sumptuous delicacies for the family to enjoy.

  1. GMC FUN PLACE – KITENGELA

GMC Place Kitengela is a convenient and fun-filled park that welcomes families to enjoy various games for all ages and sumptuous meals. Located just 3.2 KM from Kitengela Town along Namanga Highways, GMC claims to be an oasis for family transformation.

From its entrance, GMC boasts ample parking to give you peace of mind as you enjoy. GMC also boasts expansive and well-manicured grounds ideal for hosting birthdays, weddings, get-togethers, graduation parties, concerts, and festivals, among other major events.

Some of the exciting games your kids can indulge in during the August holidays include Ferris wheel rides, choo choo train rides, swimming, bouncing castle, kiddies cars, trampoline, kiddies cars, and bikes, among others.

But what you’ll love more about this place is its newly built creche/ daycare center for babies aged three years and below, which features age-appropriate games and friendly attendants. Adults can also enjoy mountain climbing, swimming, quad bikes, skating, and VR games. Entry is free, and GMC Place opens Monday to Sunday from 8 am to 8 pm.

2. UNDER THE SEA

Under The Sea is another excellent fun hub for toddlers and preschoolers. It is a perfect spot for theme parties, playdates, and school trips. Located on the fourth floor of Village Market’s new wing, along Limuru Road, Under the Sea, is an exciting, engaging, fun place to grow your child.

Under the Sea appeals to children aged 12 years and below. The colorful marine-themed fun haven has a Marine Mountain as the main play area, a kid’s craft workshop, interactive games, and the Love the Ocean program, which is an environmental education program.

Under the Sea opens Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 8 pm. Their game packages are limited to two hours of uninterrupted fun. The best part about Under the Sea is that adults enter for free, but children are limited to two accompanying adults. Any extra adult must pay 200 for the two hours the family will space at the play area.

3. PLAYLAND

Playland is third on my list of the top 4 fun places worth visiting this holiday season. Playland is a family amusement park featuring exciting facilities, such as a trampoline park, soft play area, bowling, pool tables, virtual reality, and ropes obstacles.

Since Playland opened its doors in 2019, it has become a family favorite play park offering unmatched entertainment for all ages. Playland is located at NextGen Mall along Mombasa Road. Playland opens Monday to Sunday from 10 am to 8 pm.

4. FUNCITY

Last but definitely not least is Funcity. Funcity is a relaxation center where your family gets to enjoy various fun activities, including large swings and a swimming pool, among other children’s games.

Other facilities you can enjoy at Funcity include a choma ranch, children’s playhouse, 7D theater, swinging boat, school packages, lunar park, Utopia lounge, and conferencing facilities.

Funcity is located along the Eastern Bypass in Utawala, opposite Bakri Petrol station. The facility was launched in 2017, and since then, it prides itself on its unique attraction of outstanding recreation activities, great teams, trendy gaming machines, and reasonable pricing.

There you have it! You can visit Four amazing fun places with your little kings and queens for a day filled with laughter and good cheer. The best part is that these places are strategically located, so you don’t have to worry about commuting.

But as I always advise, always do your due diligence before settling. Another better part is that these facilities are generous with information on their website, so all necessary information is at your disposal.
